INNOVATIVE ROD's Mustang II Front Suspension Kit is fabricated from rectangular tubing with 3/16" plate spring towers.  Not like the others that are built of massive tubing  and spring towers that are undersized or others based on the 1970's original unit design.  INNOVATIVE ROD's Kit is designed for the 90's get the lower ride height without the use of expensive dropped spindles. When eliminating the need for dropped spindles, you also eliminate the clearance problems. A 2" drop spindle drops the a-arm and crossmember 2" closer to the ground. When lowering the front suspension you do not want the A-Arms and crossmember so low that there is no ground clearance. What if you have a flat tire? You are going to drag something on the ground and maybe wreck your car!

The whole idea of making a vehicle handle better, is to lower the roll center of the vehicle as close to the ground as possible. To obtain this you must mount the suspension components up in the chassis as far as possible without having to change the overall design of the frame rails. This is our goal, which we achieved from years of dirt track racing. Experimenting with different techniques, Innovative has adapted this technology to street applications and found it to work very well in lowering the roll center and offering better handling.

Consisting of new 3-leaf Springs, 2 1/2" wide, 48" long, 1 pair of shocks, spring shackles, spring pads, U-Bolts, shock mounts, and rear cross member to mount the front of the springs inside the frame rails. This design lowers the ride height without the need for lowering blocks and long u-bolts and also eliminates spring twist when cornering.
